Wembley will be a sea of blue and red as Chelsea and Liverpool descend on the ‘Home of English football’ in the first domestic cup final of the season on Sunday afternoon.

The tie sees a repeat of the 2022 Carabao Cup Final where Jurgen Klopp’s side won on penalties after the game finished level after extra time.

Similar drama might be on the cards this time around as Mauricio Pochettino searches for his first piece of silverware as Chelsea boss and the cup competitions have provided a good run of results amongst their inconsistent Premier League form.

We can see this final going the distance and Match Result a draw and both teams to score priced at 4.6 with Bet Victor offers value in this paying off.

Interestingly, 7 out of the last 8 meetings between these two have ended in a stalemate.

The sides drew 1-1 on the opening day of the Premier League season with The Reds coming out 4-1 winners at Anfield last month, but Chelsea have proved recently they are made of sterner stuff.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team are currently unbeaten in their last 3 games, with 2 wins and a more than credible point away at champions Manchester City last time out.

Despite being 25 points worse off than Klopp’s Premier League leaders, The Blues will fancy their chances of pushing them all the way in the final against a depleted, injury hit Liverpool.?

Mo Salah, Darwen Nunez, Diogo Jota and goalkeeper Alisson are all either doubts or definitely out of Sunday’s showdown.

Intriguingly, 6 out of the last 7 games for Chelsea and the last 7 in a row for Liverpool has seen both teams scoring and conceding, whilst Liverpool have scored in every single EFL Cup tie and Chelsea have been on the scoresheet in all but one of their games in the competition.

Furthermore, Chelsea have kept just 2 clean sheets from their 6 EFL Cup ties, while Liverpool haven’t kept a single clean sheet from their 5 matches in the competition.

Another market of intrigue is Cody Gakpo to score anytime at 3.8 with Unibet. The Dutch forward has scored in Liverpool’s last 2 league games and is the 2nd top scorer in the competition, netting 4 goals from 5 games and scoring in every tie apart from the 2nd leg of the semi-final at Fulham.

The graphic below shows Gakpo as the 2nd top scorer in this campaign’s EFL Cup.

With Liverpool’s injury list mounting, Gakpo could be the one to step up for The Reds and add to his goal tally? in this season’s Carabao Cup.
