Match Result Draw and Both Teams to Score

Two heavyweights clash at Anfield this Sunday as Manchester City travel to face Liverpool in a mouth-watering game where the outcome could well decide where the title ends up in May.

The reverse fixture at The Etihad back in November finished 1-1 and given just how evenly matched these sides have been this season a similar outcome might well be on the cards.

The teams couldn’t be separated back in November at The Etihad as Trent Alexander-Arnold cancelled out Erling Haaland’s opener.

Both sides have been in sensational form throughout the whole season so far, with Liverpool winning 13 out of their last 15 in all competitions and Manchester City victorious in 13 of their last 14 games in all competitions. The teams also share the same number of Premier League wins (19) and are separated by just one point at the top of the league. The graphic below shows just how tight the stats are between both teams, with just a single point keeping Liverpool ahead of Manchester City.

team features

Despite both teams having strong defences and keeping 17 clean sheets between them in the league so far, the attacking threat on both sides does lean towards their being at least a goal in the game for each team.

Liverpool are 2nd top scorers with 64 goals this campaign and have scored in all but one of their 13 home Premier League matches (92%).

City are just two goals behind Liverpool with 62 goals and have scored in 11 of their 13 away games so far (85%).

The graphic below shows the number of goals scored so far this campaign, with Liverpool ranked 2nd and Manchester City 3rd for this statistic.

Furthermore, both teams to score has landed in 62% of Liverpool’s games at Anfield and interestingly 62% of Manchester City’s games on the road.

Additionally, in 5 out of the last 6 games between these two at Anfield both sides have managed to find the back of the net and 11 out of the previous 13 games this outcome has ended up happening.

Bet Victor offering 4.40 on Match Result Draw and Both Teams To Score looks good value with what is at stake in this one.

Both Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola will be aware this is a game they must avoid defeat in.

This might well play on the back of their minds once the clash commences and if the score is tied we might see two teams not wanting to lose as the clock ticks down to full-time.
