Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings Limited (APE), a prominent gaming product distributor based in Macau, has appointed Maria Garcia to its Board of Directors. This appointment, effective 30 September 2024, marks a milestone for the company, as Garcia becomes the first female director since APE‘s listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2017.?

Garcia’s journey with APE

Garcia’s connection with APE dates back to 2006 when she first joined the company as Sales Director of the Corporate Sales and Marketing Department. After six years in that role, she departed to explore other opportunities within the gaming industry and even established her own business. However, her relationship with APE continued to evolve. She rejoined the company as a Business Consultant in 2020 and later resumed her position as Sales Director for Macau and Southeast Asia in December 2022. In this capacity, she played a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth across both the Macau and Southeast Asian markets.??

Garcia brings more than 36 years of professional experience, with nearly two decades spent in the gaming sector. Her extensive background, including her leadership roles in sales and marketing, has equipped her with a deep understanding of the industry. Her return to APE in a directorial capacity reflects her expertise in navigating the challenges of the gaming landscape, especially following the difficulties posed by the global pandemic.
